Reports on the results of dredging, under the supervision of Alexander Agassiz, in the Gulf of Mexico and in the Caribbean Sea (1878-79), by the U.S. Coast Survey Steamer ''Blake''. XXV. Supplementary report on the Blake cephalopods. ''Bull. Mus. comp. Zool. Harvard'' 11(5): 105-115.〕 The type specimen was collected in the Caribbean Sea.
